Refund Policy

1. Important Disclaimer

BuildAdda is an intermediary technology platform operated by Himmat Singh Rajawat that connects independent distributors/sellers with customers for the purchase of building materials and construction supplies. BuildAdda does NOT sell, manufacture, store, ship, or deliver any products.

All refund decisions, processing, and execution are the sole responsibility of the respective distributor/seller. BuildAdda does not guarantee, warrant, or take responsibility for any refund. Users engage in transactions entirely at their own risk.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility is determined solely by the respective distributor/seller. The following are general guidelines, but each distributor/seller may set their own terms:

• Order cancellation before shipment by the distributor
• Receipt of damaged, defective, or incorrect products (subject to distributor's policy)
• Non-delivery of order within the timeframe specified by the distributor
• Product not matching the description provided by the distributor on the Platform

Customers are advised to review the distributor's individual refund terms before making a purchase.

3. Refund for Online Payments (PhonePe)

3.1 Pre-Shipment Cancellation Refunds

If an order paid via online payment through PhonePe payment gateway is cancelled before shipment by the distributor, the Platform may facilitate an automated refund to the original payment method through PhonePe. This automated facilitation is provided as a convenience and does not constitute BuildAdda accepting any obligation or liability for the refund.

3.2 Refund Processing Timeline

Refunds processed through PhonePe payment gateway are typically credited back to the original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on:

• PhonePe's refund processing time
• The customer's bank or financial institution processing time
• The payment method used (UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or Digital Wallet)

BuildAdda does not control and is not responsible for refund processing times by PhonePe or your financial institution.

3.3 Refund Method

Refunds for online payments made via PhonePe will be processed back to the same payment method used during the original transaction. BuildAdda does not offer refunds via alternative methods for online payments.

4. Refund for Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders

For orders placed with Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method:

• Orders cancelled before shipment incur no charges and no refund processing is required
• For post-delivery returns, any refund must be arranged directly between the customer and the distributor/seller
• BuildAdda does not facilitate COD refund transfers

5. Refund Amount

Refund amounts are determined solely by the distributor/seller and may be subject to deductions for:

• Shipping and handling charges incurred by the distributor
• Restocking fees as per the distributor's policy
• Any damage to the product caused by the customer
• Partial use or installation of the product

BuildAdda has no control over refund amounts and is not liable for any deductions applied by the distributor/seller.

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following categories are generally non-refundable (subject to distributor's individual policy):

• Products that have been used, installed, or altered
• Custom-made or specially ordered products
• Products without original packaging or labels
• Cement bags that have been opened
• Cut or modified materials (tiles, pipes, wood, etc.)
• Products purchased on clearance or final sale

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, customers should:

1. Contact the distributor/seller directly through the Platform or their listed contact details
2. Provide the order number and reason for the refund request
3. Submit supporting evidence (photographs of damaged/defective products, if applicable)
4. Allow the distributor a reasonable time to review and process the request

For pre-shipment order cancellations, customers may use the "My Orders" section on the Platform to initiate cancellation, which may trigger an automated refund for online payments.

8. Subscription Refunds (Distributors)

Distributor subscription fees paid to BuildAdda through PhonePe payment gateway are non-refundable once the subscription period has commenced. In the event of technical errors resulting in duplicate charges, BuildAdda will process a refund for the duplicate amount only through PhonePe.

9. Dispute Resolution for Refunds

All disputes regarding refunds must be resolved directly between the customer and the distributor/seller. BuildAdda is NOT a party to any such dispute.

BuildAdda may, at its sole and absolute discretion, offer limited facilitation to help resolve refund disputes. However, BuildAdda is under no obligation to mediate, arbitrate, or resolve any dispute. Any assistance provided by BuildAdda shall not be construed as acceptance of liability or responsibility.

10. Limitation of Liability

BuildAdda and its owner, Himmat Singh Rajawat, shall NOT be liable for:

• Any failure by a distributor/seller to process or honour refund requests
• Any delays in refund processing by PhonePe payment gateway or financial institutions
• Any financial loss arising from refund disputes between customers and distributors
• Any incorrect refund amounts determined by the distributor/seller
• Any refund claims arising from product quality, defects, or misrepresentation by distributors

Users acknowledge that they use the Platform and engage in transactions with distributors/sellers entirely at their own risk.

11. Payment Security

All online payments and refunds on BuildAdda are processed through PhonePe's secure payment gateway with industry-standard encryption and security measures. BuildAdda does not store your credit/debit card details, bank account numbers, UPI PINs, or any other sensitive financial information on its servers.

12. Policy Modifications

BuildAdda reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes shall be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform with an updated "Last Updated" date. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically.

13. Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
